Cropshader Orchard: see the impact in your own orchard

Cropshader Orchard helps keep fruit and leaves around 3–6 °C cooler in hot periods, so more of your harvest reaches Class I instead of sunburn damage.

With this free trial, you test Cropshader Orchard on 1–2 ha in your own orchard and see the effect on temperature, sunburn and yield under your own conditions.

Protecting your orchard and yield

Cropshader Orchard is a bio-based, sprayable reflective coating that helps orchards protect their crops from heat stress and sunburn without investing in new infrastructure. Simply apply it with your existing sprayer to create a targeted layer of protection when extreme heat is forecast.

The fine reflective droplets deflect part of the incoming solar radiation, helping keep fruit and leaves around 3–5 °C cooler. The result: less sunburn and more fruit reaching high-value Class I cartons during the hottest weeks of the season.

Expert guidance and results from your own orchard

Heat and sunburn are quietly reducing the share of fruit that reaches Class I quality. Trials show Cropshader Orchard can keep fruit several degrees cooler.

If the challenges below sound familiar in your orchard, a small trial can help measure the impact under your own conditions.

Overheated canopy

On hot, clear days, fruit and leaves can run several degrees hotter than the air. Exposed fruit can quickly reach temperatures where sunburn damage begins. A Cropshader Orchard trial helps you see how much this heat load can be reduced.

Loss of marketable yield

Once sunburn becomes visible, premium pricing is already lost. Protection works by keeping fruit surfaces cooler before damage begins. A Cropshader Orchard trial helps you see how earlier protection can preserve more Class I fruit.

Need for a practical solution

Permanent infrastructure like nets or cooling systems is not always realistic across every hectare. A Cropshader Orchard trial lets you test a flexible, sprayable solution before deciding whether to scale up.

How the free trial works

The trial steps

Getting started with Cropshader Orchard is easy: you receive a free trial pack with clear mixing and spraying guidelines that fit your existing sprayer. You can spray one or two blocks and see the effect on fruit temperature and sunburn in your own orchard. A Cropshader specialist helps you set up the trial and measure the effect on fruit temperature and sunburn.

The intake

A Cropshader specialist reviews your orchard, varieties, heat history and most exposed blocks to select the best blocks for a trial.

Some of the most common questions

Will Cropshader Orchard leave visible residue at harvest?

When Cropshader Orchard is applied around early fruit set, the coating gradually wears off through rain, wind, UV and plant growth. If applied later in the season, some coating is likely to remain at harvest, and removal then requires standard packhouse washing with brushing systems.

Do I need new equipment to apply it?

No. Cropshader Orchard integrates easily into daily orchard operations and can be applied with your existing sprayer. Dilute 1 kg of product in 20 kg of water (1:20) and apply using a backpack sprayer, orchard sprayer, or drone to create a fine, even coating.

Does it replace nets or irrigation, or fit alongside them?

It is designed to work alongside nets and irrigation, adding extra protection on the hottest days rather than replacing your current systems.
